床前明月光，I wake, and moonbeams
play around my bed,
疑是地上霜。Glittering like
hoar-frost to my wandering eyes;
举头望明月，Up towards the glorious
moon I raise my head,
低头思故乡。I bowed my head---and
thoughts of home and family arise.
Chinese Mid-Autumn festival is on August 15th on Chinese Lunar calendar which is different from the calendar we are using now. Each year this festival falls on different days on the regular calendar. This year it is on October 4th. To celebrate it, people get together with family, enjoy the full moon and eat moon cakes. We learned this very famous poem written on this festival by Li Bai, a great poem in Tang Dynasty, to express his missing of family.

割南瓜，Cut pumpkins.
吃糖果，Eat candies.
吃巧克力。Eat chocolates.
